I live in Vegas and my guess is that 30-40% of LDS in Vegas are UNLV fans and 60-70% cheer for BYU.

It may even be more lopsided than that but it is true that UNLV fans are bitter and really hate BYU. They definitely consider BYU to be a rival of theirs even though BYU fans don't see it that way.

Really, every MWC team's fans see us as a threat and a rival.

BYU has owned most of them in most sports, and there's some strange hatred of BYU as being "prideful" or "holier than thou".

These fans of MWC teams take great joy in BYUs failures on and off the field. It's really sad actually.

I used to root for UNLV on occasion but I admit the fan base has made me much more apathetic towards them. Couldn't even tell you their record in FB this year.
