First off, I am a UW fan and I'll probably get booted from your forum even though Cougar fans post on WYO Nation and the MWC forum all the time (seems very strict around these parts!!). I would just like to point out a couple observations that I have seen in the last WEEK from BYU fans. 1) First and foremost, I was not around for the BYU-WYO rivalry. I'm a native of New York attending classes at the University of Wyoming for engineering. Though I am from New York I actually love the state of Wyoming. Sure it doesn't have the high rises and the people (which is a nice change of pace for me), but it does have a timeless rugged beauty. These last couple of weeks I have seen soo many BYU fans try to degrade the state of Wyoming merely based on the aesthetic features of their towns! This has absolutely nothing to do with the game of football and I personally find very low-class. Do you realize how superficial and conceded all of that sounds? One of the most scenic places I have been to was Jackson Lake, WY with a full moon in the background with no city skylines for miles and miles (and yes I have been through Provo). 2) BYU has essentially the same record as Wyoming this year, though WYO has beat two top 25 ranked teams and BYU has not, and I've seen numerous BYU fans who think this a toilet bowl game and are uninterested. You compete with your level of competition, and it just so happens this year BYU will compete with WYO who is on par with their level of performance for 2016. To end my rant, I can honestly see why many Wyoming fans have disdain for BYU. It seems to me that BYU fans live in their own little bubble, and in that little bubble they are the greatest thing to happen to humanity since the invention of electricity. I truly hope for a well-fought game, without any crazy nut-punches, but don't count us out just yet BYU...Wyoming has a great team and they will be ready to fight come Dec. 22nd!
