Thanks for insulting
my home and the place where I've chosen to raise my family. That's very Christlike of you.

Fix your self-righteousness and people will stop hating BYU, really.

If I chose to go to BYU then my wife and three kids wouldn't be in the Gospel right now. NOT going to BYU and staying in your home state and building up Zion there imo would do way more good than flocking to Utah and attending BYU, UVU or whatever other schools are in Utah. The call to gather to Utah stopped many years ago, but that hasn't stopped BYU and residents or Utah from looking down their noses at everyone else. I heard companions on my mission (from Utah) say that the church was truer in Utah - you should have seen their faces when they saw our 'meeting houses' on the mission.

You guys need to stop judging people that don't live by Gospel principles. This might be a newsflash for a lot of you, but most people enjoy drinking beer, breaking the Sabbath, swearing and all manner of other behavior that we know to be wrong. Well, these people don't have the light and knowledge that we do. Stop judging people over it! Let them do what they want as they have free agency and reach out to them by being their friend and by being a good example. Judging and separating yourselves from them will only make them hate the Church and give them no opportunity to view Mormons in a favorable light. I can't even count the # of good, honest, honorable non member friends that I have and work with and spend time with. I am thankful for them and they bless my life.

The sooner you BYU fans realize the awful reputation you have as being holier-than-thou-art and correct it the sooner everyone will stop hating you and your school. Not stereotyping entire states and fan bases would be a good place to start. Pee balloon? Really? If you actually believe that then I've got some beachfront property in SE Wyoming to sell you.

Oh, but they started it! don't want to hear it. You need to take the high road and be Christ-like and represent our religion well (I really wish BYU athletics weren't associated with the Church, but they are). If you guys can't do this then maybe BYU shouldn't have sports because I fail to see how they help the cause of Zion whatsoever.
