You list some things that UCLA doesn't do as well as other schools, but you
ignore all the positive reasons a kid might want to go there.
Win or lose, UCLA is a program that gets lots of national attention and respect. It's got some of the best campus life in the country. It's a top academic institution. They play every home game at the Rose Bowl. There is a stereotype that many attractive young women attend UCLA. UCLA players often end up hanging out with fairly big celebrities. Because of the team's underachievement the previous year, freshmen always think they have a chance to start.

They put a lot of kids in the NFL because they recruit well. So, go to UCLA and be part of a middling
