USC is better on most of those same measures other than academics
So if those were the things the kid wanted then USC is the right decision. But if I were a parent of a prospect, I would prefer UCLA or Stanford for the academics reason.
I'd honestly prefer BYU over any of them for my kid no matter how highly recruited the kid was for a nice combination of academics and finding an EC. You can find the EC elsewhere, but no better odds than BYU of finding a quality EC.

They put a lot of kids in the NFL because they recruit well. So, go to UCLA and be part of a middling
