I'm not arguing that the recruiting bases are identical--clearly they're not--but WSU doesn't win games because they just roll out the ball and let a bunch of freak athletes do their thing. They win--and this was my original argument--because they're coached to play tough D and smart, team-oriented offense, and they're held accountable when they don't.
At WSU, jacking up long threes early in the shot clock and missing defensive assignments are great ways to earn yourself an immediate spot on the bench. At BYU...not so much.
BYU, with the guys on the roster right now, is athletic enough win more than we do. We're underachieving.
