to set up the jumper off the screen. He also took the ball to the hole very effectively against bigger, more athletic defenders. For all his athleticism & speed, that's something Jackson did very poorly. It's almost as if he didn't pick up a bball till he was a teenager--that's how his offense often looked (not to disparage the guy - Jax was an incredible athlete, ball hawk, an awesome competitor - & a guy who almost always played w/in himself - & it's why he was so effective despite his limitations).
