...in one of his highlight videos playing with the Utah Prospects he was defending a smaller quicker ballhandler out top and showed some good defensive fundamentals. Stayed lower than the man he was defending, had quick feet/moved well, and kept the guy in front of him and re-directed his penetration riding him out of the key towards the wing. I saw another clip where he was in the paint as a help defender on a drive from the baseline and he slid over to stop the penetration and reached out with his left hand (baseline was on his left) and blocked the shot without drawing contact.

I think he's at least been well coached on defense and seemed disciplined and as long as we have re-tooled the culture of the team when he comes to one where everyone is expected to give 100% on the defensive end of the floor I think he'll be a capable defensive player.
