There are several things that favor Utah, IMO
Utah struggles against mobile QBs and spread offenses. They flourish against immobile QBs and pro-style offenses. Hill to Mangum potentially helps Utah.

BYU defense seems to also excel against pro-style offenses, but they struggle against teams who spread it out and then throw the ball all over the field. Utah's new offensive philosophy revolves around spreading the field and throwing it all over. But do they have the personnel to execute that strategy?

The Vegas line tells you everything you need to know. It's basically a dead lock with BYU getting 3 points for home field advantage. It's anyone's game.

I am excited to see our new offensive strategy at work and how that meshes with our defensive philosophy. The schedule is so brutal that anything north of 7 wins is a major success. I'll take 7-5 but lots of reasons for optimism going forward.

And I am personally not worried about DB or O line based on what I have heard and read about the newcomers. For me, it all comes down to QB and WR in this system. Is Taylor the QB whisperer many claim?
