Refuse to argue with them. Only agree to talk to them about it if there is a level
of mutual respect. If not shut down any conversation about it and only discuss those things you agree about. Short term it won't change a thing but long term it will make a difference, especially if they continually try to bait you and you don't take it. They'll gain respect for you over time.
