BYU is already a very exclusive place when it comes to admissions standards. If the Honor Code went away, the value of the education would probably attract an even higher number of applicants, particularly from non members. BYU wouldn't be allowed to discriminate on a religious basis and keep accredited, so even fewer member kids would end up going there.
