larger pool. There are a number of good recruits every year that give BYU preference over even the biggest/baddest programs. So, it cuts both ways. I think the approach Bronco took and Kalani is also taking of treating BYU's unique attributes as a recruiting strength and not some kind of hindrance is the way to go. If we could get a few more of the elite LDS athletes every year, we'd really take a big step up the college football ladder.
