Well we were told that same story for playoff vs BCS for years, and eventually the powers at be caved
I believe this will be similar... Everyone outside of the "voters" are calling for a bigger playoff and its only a matter of time... We are still in infancy of making the first move... Its like moving the titanic with these guys...

In the end its a money game... and there is no doubt that the playoff games generate the most money by far
