since, we haven't finished ranked either. Clearly besides the exposure and $$ Indy has not helped improve the program as many hoped ala Utah going P5. But if being not-G5 makes people feel good inside or superior in some way... If we have many more games like LSU, Wisconsin, Michigan where we look like a FCS team the mere fact that we play 'big name' teams isn't going to be enough to keep fans interest and judging by the attendance at the Wisconsin game it already is trending that way. Mock the conference championships and NY6 access all you want but we haven't had success of that sort since being Indy besides beating the occasional down P5 which we already were dong as a G5.
