What would be beneficial for BYU to do is start winning again. One thing Indy
has taught us that BYU can't compete with the big boys. TH, BM, and KS have all stated they want to play anyone, anywhere.

We love to hear that as fans and we generally all agree with that statement. However, we can't beat the same teams the Admin and coaches want us to compete with on a yearly basis, and this year we've been steamrolled twice. We are embarrassing ourselves in front of the nation.

Do we want to go back and earn G5 money, no. My assumption is that we would be able to keep most of our ESPN tv deal if we did drop down because a G5 conference wants those games on TV. Maybe some of it would be revenue shared, but we are the reason so we probably get the majority of that money (big assumption, I know).

But we thrived on playing in the WAC and winning a ton of games. Because we did what Boise has done, by stringing together multiple years in a row and incredible play, it lead us to being voted the NC in '84.

TCU and Utah were both elevated to P5 levels because in large part they won on the field. This is a proven method for getting into a P5 league. Win, win, win.

The "money and exposure" in Indy has done nothing to improve our play on the field.
