It isn't the scheme.
Do you really believe for 1 second that these players would suddenly start running and catching better just because of the scheme?
It may be coaching. It may be inexperience. It may be that some of these players are just mediocre-- at least for now (players do improve with experience and time). It is probably all of the above. IMO, one thing it almost assuredly is not, is the scheme.
