"Awareness" is a cop-out for being a part of something, but not really doing anything. The NFL actually raised money for cancer awareness, not cancer research, like "awareness" actually solved any problems. I think everyone is empathetic towards the victims, but other than not committing sexual assault and empathizing with the victims, we can't really do much without more information.
