Is sexual harassment and/or sexual assault a new phenomenon?
We all know it isn't. This is just the first widespread social media attempt to highlight the issue. The fact is that the issue hasn't gone away despite full areas of law being developed to protect people. So why should I be embarrassed of my thread when the entire premise of the thread is that something should be done to protect women? Because my solution is uncomfortable? Do people really believe a hashtag campaign is going to be the wake up call those men who have abused their power needed to change?

Here's the truth: Men who do these things never think there will be consequences.
