I personally do not believe anything will change substantially in one year. But I agree that they should be given another year to try to prove themselves.

To answer your original question (Why start over), you start over when you realize your risk in hiring inexperienced coaches didn't pay off. You don't throw good money after bad. You either roll the dice again or you adjust and make more informed risks, if possible.
