It's a nice apology....at the end of the day Ty had all off-season to develop and grow his players. If he couldn't tell that Mangum was hopelessly lost in this offense long before Portland State then shame on him. I can agree with so many other problems that you address, but the inexcusable failure was allowing Tanner to start when his performance throughout the season has been terrible.
We played a tough schedule....agreed. We got blown out by good teams and we lost to bad teams. Our offense has never even sniffed the level of performance that they achieved last year. Jamaal and Taysom were unique players for BYU....but that doesn't explain why we got waxed by pretty much everyone who was even a decent team.
I wonder how much our abysmal offense contributed to those defenses being as good as they look statistically. Which came first....our Offense sucked or their Defense was good. I'm going to err on the side of our Offense sucked and was as poorly prepared as a BYU offense has been since Brandon Doman got fired.
