Wrong. Ty was in a 6-7 win situation.
1. "Lose 4 of top 6 rushers and 4 of top 5 pass catchers"
- BYU returned its #2 and #3 running backs.
- before the 2016 season, BYU lost 3 of its top 4 pass catchers.
- before the 2014 season, BYU lost its top 3 and 6 of its top 7 pass catchers. The Cougars still threw for over 3600 yards and 32 TDs.

You act as if this a new or unprecedented catastrophe. It is just football. It makes things more difficult, but hardly a reason for an offense to fail on such an epic level.

2. "Your QB position is a revolving door due to injury. You end up with two RMs for your first and second string after finding out your original 3rd string physically can't play the position"
- BYU's starting QB started 8 games. The #2 QB started 2. The #3 QB started 2. The same thing happened in 2012 (against a tougher schedule too). BYU still won 8 games and 4 of their 5 losses were by less than a TD.

The injuries hurt, but once again aren't reason to have one of the worst offenses in college football.

3. "RB position has been a revolving door due to injuries and suspensions"
- This is true, but it has happened before. For the 2015 season, Jamaal Williams missed the entire season for personal reason. Adam Hine emerged, but was injured vs Michigan and was out or limited for the rest of the season. RB # 3,4, and 5 came in and averaged 5.6, 6.4, and 5.1 ypc respectively.

4. "You're going to play the top defense in country (Wisconsin) and 3 other top 20 defenses (LSU, FSU and MSU) and 3 more in the top 50 (Utah, USU and BSU)."

- So what is the excuse for teams like Portland St, UMass, and ECU?

5. "And, you're going to get the 13th worst ASFP in the country - the
worst BY FAR in recent BYU history"

- I'm pretty sure that that you are drawing the wrong conclusion from this correlation. These teams don't have bad offenses because they have bad ASFP. The have bad ASFP (and bad offensive stats) because they are bad teams.
- Also, BYU's offense contributes to their own ASFP. Not moving the ball gives the opposing team good SFP. Even if BYU's D gets a 3 and out, it is still bad SFP.

In summary, BYU's offense has had some injuries and a suspension at the RB and QB. However, the rest of the offense has been remarkably healthy. The injuries and new faces in the skill positions may be a legitimate excuse for the P5 teams, and BSU. You could try and argue that Fresno St and USU are also understandable if you're really determined. However, for Portland St, UMass, ECU and Hawaii (if the trend continues), that excuse doesn't hold water.
