For one, he'd be one persona w/ the financial & ethical clout I'd trust to stand up to any personality within the leadership who might be holding BYU back.
That's not to say that'd I'd see eye-to-eye w/ all of Mitt's decisions (nor should he), but I honestly think he or someone like him could move the university onto a more progressive path without sacrificing it's spiritual/ethical soul.
As for Prez Worthen--I actually like him. I just don't sense he carries the clout to change things all that much.
