I wouldn't praise the defense simply because they're marginally better than the offense. The defense has plenty of glaring deficiencies. Pass efficiency defense is ranked 102nd, 3rd down conversion pct defense 85th, 4th down conversion pct 96th and that's with a lot more returning starters and experience this year. We need to improve in all phases.
