Yes, MSU is in the SEC but they are at the bottom of the SEC in terms of recruiting prestige. I would say that they are borderline 50th percentile in terms of their prestige as a program.

I agree with you wholeheartedly that we need to recruit the very best talent that is willing to keep the honor code and is academically capable of graduating from our very rigorous university. In that recruiting, race should not matter! And since race doesn't matter, no staff member (even the HC) should be unfireable if their performance warrants it.
