That is very good at any college level. There is no other candidate that has been mentioned for this job that has done anything comparable.
And this was before he coached at the FBS level.
Now, he has coached at BYU with good offenses, including being the position coach of a current BYU QB that set freshman records across the board four months off a mission to South America. And, who incidentally slipped this past year.
He is currently the QB coach at a P5 school. The QB he coaches made huge strides in two years and is now a school record holder.
In spending two years on the East Coast, he has likely made some good recruiting contacts as he is really charismatic.
Should I go on?
Jason Beck, IMO, is by far the best BYU-ties/LDS coach option for OC. He would be great.
