Or perhaps,
(Sorry I replied to the wrong thread level)
You work on the little things and the big things take care of themselves.

Tucking in shirts and having a clean locker room show pride in oneself and the team. You praise those things they do right, set clear expectations, rules and consequences (both good and bad).

I have hope for this team. I hope Grimes comes in and immediately dismisses Mahe. I don’t think he is a good coach and I don’t think he has the ability to be anything but a buddy to these kids. Maybe I’m wrong but those are my observations. Next goes Cahoon. I’m sure he is a fine tactician but the receiving corps has struggled to perform. Empey stays but concentrated on the interior linemen and Grimes takes care of the tackles. Clark can stay and continue with the TE group and continue to make progress there with hopefully a full compliment of healthy young men. TFD is apologized to and stays as QB coach. The QBs struggled but hopefully with a dedicated coach they rise from their funk and QBU returns under the direction of one of the greats.

I’d love to see changes in S&C but for whatever reason there is some crazy loyalty. I hope he is right and the team gets rid of the injury bug.

BYU can return to greatness but it’s going to take work and discipline. I am willing to bet we will see many players leave the team who are not willing to make the necessary changes. That’s life.
