As he can.
I coached baseball for many years and have seen both ends of the spectrum.
Dad 1 - insisted his kid was a lefty and forced him to bat and throw left. Kid couldn’t hit or throw the ball hardly at all at 7 yrs old. I did the no glove challenge and the kid threw it 3 times further with his right. His dad wouldn’t let him because lefty’s run in the family. 🤦♂️
Dad2 - kid and family from India showed up with normal glove at 11 yrs old. I was scratching my head on what to do with him. Because he couldn’t catch or hit and it was dangerous for him. I got “stuck” with him in the Little league draft as the last pick. After the first practice, I did the Gatorade challenge where kids throw from the could pole and try to hit the ball bucket on home plate. Coach buys a Gatorade if they hit it. No gloves as we all ran to the foul pole. The dang kid hit the bucket as he threw with his Left. Thee family bought him a left hand glove because he was left handed!!! I got a steal of the draft and the kid turned into a high school ball player. Still my favorite story to this day.
Dad 3 (Me) - I should have tied my kids right hands behind their back when they were born. They are good ball players (HS, college) but Lefties have such an advantage and they are righties.
