Money isn't free. That salary has to be born by others. Maternity leave makes good sense, but paternity leave is debatable in the first place, much less something more than a couple of weeks. 4-6 weeks is a crazy amount in my view for paternity leave.

I’d take whatever is given to me, but IMO 2-3 weeks is plenty for paternity. I think 4-6 weeks is plenty for maternity
