Do you work at a hospital? What's the middle range for incomes?

One of my older relatives was a doctor and it was interesting to see how much mail he got targeting doctors for investments for all kinds of random stuff. He invested in some (oil wells, etc.), with mixed results. He was the generation that started making house calls and ended up working for big corporations. He hated the transition.

My younger family who are current doctors seem to get more boring, corporate pitches for generic retirement planning, etc. Much less colorful.
