Wrong again Utah plays straight man
They played straight man against Collie the entire game. Go back and watch the game again.

They would use saftey help on occassion but Utah is straight up man coverage team. Utah also dropped 7 to 8 players most of the game.

Smith and McCain switched on Collie it all depended upon when Pitta came into the came. Because of his height Smith would cover Pitta.

I can tell you every catch that went Collie's way in the 1st half.

First pass from HALL was when BYU was on the U22 on 3-2 the pass was incomplete. BYU settled for a Fg.
Next BYU possession started at the 4:21 mark
1-20 on BYU20 Utahs Joe Dale lined up against Collie pass was completed for 13 yards. Smith was on Pitta.
Next BYU Possiesion started at 13:38 which is in the 2nd quarter and started on the BYU 32
On 1-10 after a Unga run to the BYU 44 Utah's Robert Smith lined up against Collie (Smith was on Pitta) Collie caught another 13 yard pass to the Utah 43

Next to possesions were a pass to Unga and a run by Unga

BYU was on the Utah 28 Sean Smith then lined up agaist Collie because Pitta was out of the game.

It was the 2nd incomplete pass to Collie in the end zone and Sean Smith should have intercepted the ball. Collie could not shake Smith and he was in perfect coverage the entire time.

Next BYU possession Hall did not throw to Collie, during that time in the game Sean Smith was playing straight man on Collie. BYU took over at the 9:04 mark of the 2nd half and the kicked a FG at 6:28 to tie up the game 17-17

BYU's next possession was at the 1:35 mark after Utah kicked a FG going up 20-17 BYU took over on their 20. Pitta came back into the game and Utah switched Joe Dale to Collie
Hall completed a 19 yard pass to Collie and then McCain switched to Collie and Hall completed a 13 yard pass. Smith was on Pitta during this time.

Hall completed a pass to Reed then Robert Johnson defending Collie forced an imcomplete pass. Joe Dale then intercepted Hall returned it 9 yards and Hall was flagged 15 yards.

Utah went on to score on a 32 yard TD to Reed going up 27 to 17 BYU ran out the clock.

Count them that is only 4 receptions out of 10 the most completions happened when Smith was not defending Collie the two incompletions were when Utah lined up Smith on Collie. Smith is the type of DB Collie will go against on a daily basis
