??????"most"???????
"most" nfl wr's are 6'3"? where do you get that? just because there are a few taller wr's doesn't mean that that is the standard.

look it up:
http://www.pro-football-reference.com/years/2008/receiving.htm
- go over the list of the top rec wr's this past year, and let us all know if "most" were over 6'3". heck, there are only 3 in the top ten that are 6'3" and over. 30% is "most"?

know your facts before you spout off.

as for your post on utah strategy against collie, you're WAAAAY off. first of all, you can't really see the scheme on the tv, especially a safety rolling over the top. second of all, and MOST IMPORTANT, you made bengal's point for him. you stated that utah was dropping 7-8 into coverage. what does that mean? UTAH WAS PLAYING ZONES! what/who are those 7 guys going to cover? byu could only send, max, 5 guys into routes. who do the other 2 cover? furthermore, why would you drop that many into coverage if you're so confident in your man skills? arizona, 2006, locked us up on the outside, man w/cason, and played zone in the middle and dared us to throw to the man coverage. couldn't do it. unm does this every year as well. last, kruger's int is a great example of ZONE blitz! seriously, this is football 101, man. this is why utah's coverages are complicated. it's not vanilla man. it's man sprinkled with zone.

what utah did was play man under and roll the safeties over the top. they've done this for years against the better wr's. it's smart. it looks like straight man, but it's got plenty of zone. look at tape from when kevin curtis was at usu. they did it then, too. they played zone for the 2nd and 3rd quarters in the 06 game. they played zone the ENTIRE game when they picked off feterik a million times in 99. be happy that you have a staff that is smart enough to know when the adjust what they do.

as for collie, what will matter to him is his shuttle run. that will show if he has the short burst that will allow him to get the initial separation that he needs to get open, rather than the long distance speed. if he doesn't run that well, then he'll be in trouble. regardless, he'll be in the 3-4 round, just as he is projected to go.
