So if Colorado is such an embarrassment to the....
Big 12, then why would the Pac-10 want them? If they wanted to expand, why not just take Utah and BYU? Natural rivalry. The only reason that would make sense is that the Pac-10 wants the Denver market. But then again-the Big 12 would be giving up the Denver market for the Utah market (is that better or worse?). Also, does getting rid of Colorado really open up CA to the rest of the Big 12? I don't really know why a CA kid would choose CU over Texas or OU (unless they wanted to be closer to home).
