But take this for what it's worth. I have a close relative who is in the Colorado Athletic Department. He's also been in the Athletic Department at schools in two other BCS conferences, one of which was the PAC-10. So he knows something about what goes on in those conferences.

I had him read your post, just to see what he would think of it. He thinks your comments about Colorado are crap. Your comments about a "buyout" are totally inaccurate. Much of what's in your post is taken from the various articles about PAC-10 expansion and what the reaction of the Big-12 might or should be so has already been published. In other words, most of what's in your post is not true, inaccurate or already been said by others.

The Big-12 is not trying to get rid of Colorado and there are no known plans afoot to bring BYU in. There have been rumors from sports writers about that but there have been rumors about a lot of things lately.

You have completely ignored the fact that if the Big-12 were already planning to bring BYU in, they would already have contacted BYU. And I know for a fact that this has not occurred. Do you really think that the Big-12 would be making plans in that way? Of course not.

One of your statements that is very revealing is: "Apparently, a former member of the Big XII commission has been working with the new Pac-10 commissioner to arrange a Pac-10 expansion scenario that would take Colorado off the Big XII's hands for free."

This is obviously what you are referring to but the way you state it indicates you don't have inside information from a "source," you're just getting it from the published articles and not very accurately at that.

It's apparent that you don't really know anything that isn't already being talked about. You've just pieced together rumors and information from recent articles about the PAC-10 and Big-12 and expansion rumors.
