If you look at Utah in terms of campus environment (weather, girls, culture, quality of life) they would be in the bottom 1/3 of the Pac-10 with only Oregon St. and Washginton St. being worse.
Looking at academics, Utah also would be in the bottom 1/3 of the Pac-10.
Looking at the facilities, Utah would be in the bottom 1/3 of the Pac-10.
Looking at proximity of talent, Utah would be in the bottom 1/3 of the Pac-10.
The point is that Utah, who is 6-8 vs. the Pac-10 in regular season games this decade, will not be winning any more recruiting battles with Pac-10 schools than they do now. With the talent deficit that they will have it's hard to imagine that they would be consistently better than .500 against such competition.
