I noticed this too. However I was impressed with

the writers of the show the first season. I don't think they crossed any perceived "boundaries" and they kept the whole gay affection thing relatively calm.

This season it's a LITTLE more in your face, but not by much. And I haven't noticed any type of Gay agenda either.
