Ute Sportsmanship

I went to the game. What a game!!!!!! Except it was freaking cold.

Ute fans for the most part were good from what I saw except for these three polys who were in the face of this older BYU fan. I couldnt figure out what it was all about but three big Ute dudes against an older skinnier BYU fan was strange. It looked like they were talking and then all three of them went nuts. It was about 20 rows down from where I was so I couldnt hear.

There are things that happened however that bother me and I hope some Ute fans can explain.

Why were the Ute players taunting and acting like donkies in the warm-ups? Some of the ute players acted like caged animals and came over towards where BYU players were warming up and started what looked like it would be a brawl. I have seen this for several years now: Ute players taunting and trying to egg BYU into a fight or something. Do you do this to all of your opponents and do you think it is right? At least your Ute coaches tried to hold them back. It was and is strange. This keeps happening each year like I said for the last several games.

I will have more to say on this and other things but I really want to get a Ute fan's perspective.

Other questions while I am at it:
2. Why did Martinez get in the face of Payne after he missed the kicked? The Ute coach had to restrain your own player. What's up with that?

3. What's up with Smithson and the rest with the hachette into the BYU football helmet? Isnt celebrating your win more important than still needing to show up your oponent?

4. What's up with Ute fans yelling obscenities at Bronco while he is trying to give an interview? (1280thefan.com audio of the post game: http://www.1280thezone.com/ listen to Han's audio).

Would love to hear your responses Utah Fans.
