I can't believe that this has gotten so bad. I don't think any of us can explain the behavior of certain fans or players. That is what makes this so frustrating. There are some Utah fans and BYU fans for that matter that make this so bad. All us Utah fans do is point out the bad in BYU and BYU fans only point out the bad in Utah. But the fact is there are some good people on both sides. I guess that is what a rivalry is? I'm disappointed in Martinez and his behavior. Shaky wasn't much better but atleast it didn't involve another player. In my opinion this is why the game should go bye bye. Last year all Utah fans did was complain about how bad BYU was when they beat us. It's easier to be a jerk when you win and easier to point out other's flaws when you lose. I refuse to justify any of the terrible behavior other than I felt like it was much better this year than last. In all honesty some of the BYU players actually went out of their way to show good sportsmanship. A couple Utes did the same. I was more disappointed in the fact that the fans rushed the field. Neither one of the teams had any thing major to win and yet the fans rushed the field. The fans compound the situation. Either way each of us can come up with years of issues but it just isn't worth it. I wish you all well in your bowl game and hope to receive the same good wishes.
