As far as the BYU Oklahoma game ratings, you might want to look at the ratings of every Oklahoma game that is played on ESPN, especially when they are still in the national title hunt. In fact that same year, a few weeks after the Oklahoma BYU game, despite a drop in the rankings and not having Sam Bradford, the Oklahoma versus Miami game still got higher ratings than the BYU Oklahoma game.

Oklahoma and BYU got very good ratings, but how much of that was BYU and how much of that was 3rd ranked Oklahoma with a Heisman candidate in Sam Bradford? Based on the ratings of their other games, even after losses and even without Bradford, I think you are underestimating the Oklahoma fan base.

If you want impressive ratings, the Boise State versus Virginia Tech game is what I would use----that was a highly rated game. It had more than double the viewers of the Oklahoma and BYU game.
