is getting seriously out of control. I love CB because there are more Utes here and less Yewts, as well as more Cougars and less Zoobs, than on your average Salt Lake Tribune comment section. But it appears to me that is beginning to take a downturn. Please guys, let's not do this. I HATE the parasites and cave-dwellers found on the Trib comment sections.

BYU is going to rock independence, DOES have a national fanbase and CAN win a national championship. And no, I am not delusional for saying this unless you wear red goggles.

Utah did very well with non-BCS money, so it is wrong to boldly declare that they will be lucky to get 5 wins this season and that they are the next Washington State, doomed to completely waste their larger income. They are very capable of doing much more than that. Saying this is not irrational unless you wear blue goggles.

Budgets will be about the same. BYU and Utah make money in completely different ways, but it will all amount to about similar numbers.

The two schools no longer need to compare themselves to each other to judge progress. Maybe we both lived in a bubble and that's why we can't seem to achieve our full potential. We were tethered to each other until now; we lived in a world where all that mattered was each other, and everything you accomplished was only exciting because you could rub it in your rival's face. Both programs are headed in great directions now and there's no use bashing with each other at this point.
