Not criticizing, just curious.

BYU and Utah are very different universities. Utah and CU weigh research much heavier than does BYU, and their expenditures reflect it (this says nothing about BYU, it simply confirms the statement that BYU is primarily an undergraduate university).

Although the U has had quite a few members (including some mission companions of mine), BYU is run by the LDS Church. Let's just be happy for the U and move on. Washington St. is receiving the same funding as Utah, and although they went the Rose Bowl as recently as 2001, all the money they receive, whether it is more, equal, or less than the quantity BYU will receive (I really doubt this) is irrelevant. Utah proved this on the field in the Sugar Bowl.
