...look what became the major talking point in Mitt Romney's campaign. It wasn't anything to do with his thoughts on foreign policy, the economy, Healthcare, the military or anything. It was his being a Mormon and that's what a large number of people based their decisions on when deciding who to vote for.
I've had a friend or two in the past who were Southern Baptist that once they found out I was a Mormon wouldn't talk to me anymore and they told me that was the reason. Another friend from a protestant faith told me I was going to Hell because I'm a Mormon (although he still talked to me). This isn't a representation of everyone in those particular faiths but Mormons face adverse treatment like this or worse that other christians don't. The plain and simple fact is that with some folks we bring out the worst in them.
