I'm not smart enough to figure that out
I'm not getting paid to think that through. I'd just join the Big East but insist it's as an all sports member along with Boise, AFA, SDSU, UNLV, Memphis, SMU, and Houston. Balsnce out the East Coast BBall only schools by absorbing WCC members, and creating a two division basketball league (the west coast Catholics might be enticed to play with ND and their East coast bretheren). The football would require that BYU continue to schedule a hard OOC roster in September, but November would at least be interesting with SDSU, AFA, and Boise. The basketball would provide a legendary conference tournament by mixing East and West schools in a total mash up. It would be the perfect prelude to March Madness.
