Not all are ugly, I've seen some adorable ones at work. The big thing with them though is you never know what you're going to get...sometimes they have shorter more wired hair and other times they have hair that grows long and poofy. I wouldn't get one unless you are willing to spend money to have it groomed every two months, or do it yourself by keeping them brushed out cause some hair types tend to matt easily.
