Wrong. Dogs don't have the pack mentality. This is a herding breed who herds partly by nipping the heels of the sheep that get out of line. He does NOT think he is head of the pack. He is simply following the breeds instinct to nip heels. People are stuck on pack mentality while new research shows that is not how they work.
