So you are saying ND is part of the dregs of CFB?
Note that the BCS is pretty much an owned subsidiary of TV networks. Under this concept they will always be more promoted than other teams. They will always be given more prime time slots. This is how the networks get their return on their billions of dollars they invest in the BCS.

Every other team has an uphill battle to even get on TV for any slots. Now also consider that the year before BYU went Indy they were 7-6 and had not really been seen nationally for 5 years (thanks mtn). They weren't a recent known story and they still pulled more than many other teams that were in their same boat.

Note that BSU who had been all over TV the last 5 years and been to several bowl games only appeared on the list of games with one non-BCS team only 3 times.

Let's see how it goes the rest of this year before you completely write off BYU's ability to bring eye balls to the games. I will also note (and I'm sure ESPN knew this as well) - BYU fans are frugal and will more likely congregate to watch games vs everyone subscribing to ESPN...which is an aspect which does make it more difficult to determine how many eye balls were actually on the game...
