Did you read the quote from the Strength of Youth?
If those are not the short shorts the Church (not me)has counseled women not to wear, I'd be interested in your definition. As to why I felt moved to comment, I already owned up to being old-fashioned.
And yes, my daughter is a charming young lady, who even as a teenager never wore innapropriate clothing. She gave me some problems on other things, but I found it interesting that she was asked to speak twice in Sacrament Meeting during her teen years, in two different wards, she twice chose "Modesty in Dress" as the subject on her talk.
