shelter for several months, but that isn't the ultimate goal (although it does happen--especially when funding or other resources are an issue). I am not saying that some families won't benefit in the ways you've described. In the broad scheme of Utah's new "War on Homelessness", funding and resources (especially for housing) should be less of an issue. The focus should be on promoting access to the resources the family needs to get out off the street and out of poverty. Building a shelter that is an hour away from the services doesn't promote access.
