at hand: if you are Roberts, do you want Huntley throwing to you, or do you want the guy with the better arm who will be there for 4 years (Wilson) throwing to you. At Utah, Roberts could be an offensive asset; but at BYU he could be a weapon. Especially since it appeared the latter half of 2018 the BYU o-line finally figured some things out and played at least as well as the Utah o-line did in the same stretch. All offensive things being equal, a super talented WR has a much higher ceiling at a place where a QB can make all the throws instead of going to a place where the QB is most effective when using his legs.
