Agree! It's not like he has been doing nothing since January. Typical PT for
the first month or so is stretching and range of motion exercises followed by very light weights to strengthen the entire shoulder area including the upper chest. By week 12 and beyond he should be lifting weights approaching his full strength recovery and in his normal range of motion. I would hope his trainers are extremely careful while pushing him. No pain, keep pushing.
