Since toko doesn't seem to know what Vanderbilt had, and assumes Utah has amazing talent
Vandy had one of the best QBs in their history. A former 4 star, 3 year starter who also had 5 starts as a freshman. He became their all-time leader in basically every category. He became a pretty good QB there.
A very experienced OL last year.
A top 3 TE in the nation
Probably a top 5 RB in the nation (at least, he's likely to be a top 5 or 6 RB draft pick this next year).
Pretty productive WR unit over their careers.
Utah has basically just another QB at Utah. Falling somewhere between what they've had the last 10 years, and their better QBs in the 2000's, but closer to the former (let's be real, he's basically Troy Williams compared to an Alex Smith).
A RB who is probably sitting just outside the top 10 in the country.
An underachieving WR corps though while experienced, hasn't done a ton.
Nothing close to Pinkney at TE.
And far less experience on the OL.
He had good health and continuity to work with. That's not something Utah is good at combining. Not to mention he has to come back to work under the control of Whitt.
